I have a 69 vw bug engine that i have totally rebuilt but seem to be having firing problems.

Cylinder 2 and 4 are hitting solid and
perform great but 1 and 3 not so
much. These two cylinders hit but not
like 2 and 4 . Iv replaced plugs ,wires  
,distributor cap, and rotor also had my
heads rebuilt but still no luck. I have
two 34mm one barrels as my carbs
and was wondering if gas could be
whats throwing my motor off like this?
Im open to any advice pls help

have 1970 vw betlee i chek compression #1 120 psi #2 120 psi # 3 5psi #4 130pis low compression #3

I have a 1974-79 model 1600cc duel port engine on my trike. I also have one cylinder low on compression upon dissasembly I found a damaged piston. I found a kit on ebay that has everything i need to make it 1641 real reasonable.
