what size tires do I need for my 54 volkswagen?

it really depends on what you plan on doing with the car. if your keeping it stock height, then 165sr15's are the stock size. well they are a radial tire, and the stock one's were bias ply's. the 165sr15 is the closest you will get. if you call a tire shop you may have to tell them 165/80/15. they do NOT require tubes. some people say the 155/80/15 also works, but is a little harder to find. if you are restoring the car, and want original bias ply tires, call coker tire. they can get you the correct bias tires, and tubes for them. just be prepaired for STICKER SHOCK!
