Are there alternator pulleys that are extended to be able to drive alternator from
water pump pulley?

toywagen.com makes a kit - vwvortex forum sez it's good. some say you can bust the back out of the stock pulley and use washers - be skeptical on this maybe call a yard - most watercooled VW's of MK I or MKII (w/o a/c of course) should fit, but verify matching amps on your alt (some 60A, others 90A) do a net search for "vw alternator pulley no a c" and there are several goog links...
