Is a 1986 commanche 2.8 basically the same as a 1986 cherokee 2-8?

Asked by seniordeputy1610 Feb 28, 2013 at 07:03 PM about the 1986 Jeep Comanche

Question type: General

Will the parts interchange with each other?  there seams to be a lot of aftermarket parts for a cherokee  but not for a commanche.  Such as drive line assembly and suspension kits.  Any help would be appreciated.

The engines are the same with exception of certain accessories, They are both Chrysler engines., As far as suspension and drive line , there are differences according to wheelbase and 2 or 4 wheel drive, if the same drive type is: 4 WD, then suspension is generally the same,
