have you checked the fuses and the bulbs? has a trailer hitch been added to your jeep? check the wiring under the rear of the truck, sometimes the wiring gets fraed. if a hitch has been installed the wring or the connector goes bad over time(from the rain/winter salt). hope this helps best of luck.

Also check the stop light switch which is mounted on or near the brake pedal. This can go bad causing no brake lights when brakes are applied.

DOH!!!! I forgot about that, It has been awhile since I replaced?fixed one of those. My bad. Thanks littlehorn for mentioning that.
