don't drill a hole! dry it and find the problem.... sounds like a seal and if it just started look at the deck lid(hatch) seal around the windows if its not cold there use a water hose and have someone inside looking for it to get wet... wow drill a hole! sure let more moisture get in maybe fumes and die! don't drill a hole please... hope this helps

I would guess it's around the window. ..because of the unibody the body can shift and settle over time especially when the miles. Start getting up there. This is a problem with other Cherokee I know.
