I just replaced the spark plugs on my ram 1500. I Took it down the road for a test drive and the check engine light came on. I rechecked my connections to the spark plug fittings and one was not connected which is probably why my check engine light came on in the first place. So I reconnected it and i noticed i had power back in my engine. However the check engine light was still on so I ran a computer diagnostic and the same code of C - 54.2, S - 3.5, and = 31.5 came up. I looked everywhere for what these codes translate too but could not find them. Since I am pretty sure the disconnected plug was the sole reason as to why the engine light came on I decided to reset my engine light by disconnecting the battery. After reconnecting the battery I started the car and the engine light was off. I took my truck down the road for a spin and the light did not come back on even after I floored the gas. In all I am pretty sure that these codes mean that you need new spark plugs or some of your electrical fittings are not connected to your plug valves.
