My 85 ramcharger se wipers just quit working

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Is there a relay or anything I should look at before assuming it's the wiper motor? It worked fine b4 -now it's just dead.
Thanks much

There is a ground strap going from the wiper motor to ground at one of the mounting bolts. These get corroded and do not work proprley. MY Repair is to runn a NEW ground wire from the battry to the motor mounting bolt.

When mine went out the motor was fine but the bushings connecting the motor to the wiper arms broke apart (they are plastic and just had too many years on them i guess). It was a REAL pain to change them but thought i would share that in case the motor isn't the problem.

Brand new motor, mine quit working when I hit a bump. I ran a wire from the Phillips head screw on the back of the motor to a mounting bolt. Started working like a champ.
