Need a gas tank for a 1987 dodge ram 50! Help!

I have been searching for a gas tank for my '87 Ram 50 and cannot find one anywhere..I have searched for mitsubishi mighty max as well and no luck..All I can find are tanks from 86 down..does anyone know if the older tanks will work?? Should I get a fuel cell instead? If so what fuel cell should I get(I dont have a lot of money to put into it) Any help is greatly appreciated!

http://www.mstrecycling.com/ they may be able to help you with your gas tank dilemma good luck

Thanks I appreciate it..They did have one at a good price, but more than I am willing to spend right now..I am going to try to patch it first, if that doesn't work I am going to have to break down and buy one!

I got the problem taken care of..it ended up not being as bad as I thought..I patched it and is holding good so far..thanks though!
