how do i stop engine stalls

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Has  a stock v6 starts and runs no problem dies in gear.  looking for the cause
please help

I'm assuming automatic transmission btw, but sounds like a torque converter issue. Are there any warning or check lights on?
