87 dodge ramcharger

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ok so husband was driving the truck and it quit on
him.. We had it towed back home. Had someone
look at it and they said we needed a new carb so
we did get a new one. It was installed running
great then it quit again.. We have checked fuel line
changed fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs.. We can
get it to turn over if it starts it dies.. We also took
out the smog thing cuz it was smokingDoes
anyone have any ideas. Please help

is it getting fuel pressure & spark ? will it run if you keep adding gas to the throttle ? don't start any fires
