I have a 1986 charger shelby 2.2 turbo w/ a 5 speed. will the 84 daytona non-turbo 5 speed transmission bolt up and work?

It may or may not . First you need to check the number of splines on the imput shaft and the axles. The real difference is that the gear ratios are different. The Shelby trans is aHD unit and close ratio gears.

Most of the time they will bolt up and work as long as the splines on the input shaft maches to your old one but if you need a quality transmition try Andysautoparts.com they will have the transmition you need with the right gear ratio. I hope this helps you out.
