Question type: General

How many Charger coupes came equiped with the 440 engine option? I have heard figures of 14 built with that option..If anyone knows please e-mail at ac7045@hotmail.com   thanks

14 sounds possible, although it would have had to be a special production run or aftermarket modification by a dealership, because officially the big-block engines were discontinued in 1972 for the Chargers.

Thank you for the reply, I know it was factory because the VIN had the U-Code in the sequence, matching the plate on the left inner fender and on the dash. the car came with a bench seat, rubber floormat and consol shift, the buldge hood, with an automatic..I would like to verify if such production figures were true ..Any insight would be greatly appreciated, and answer questions once and for all
