Battery Not getting charge after using jumper cables

Asked by mudrubis Jun 08, 2018 at 03:18 PM about the 2000 Mercedes-Benz S-Class

Question type: General

I had to use Jumper cables directly in the connector under the passenger
side. The battery was dead and remote wouldn't work, so I couldn't open the
trunk.

Anyway, I  have a new battery but the altenator is not charging the battery.

Thank you

You may need a new alternator. It could have been bad before the jump which would be why the battery was dead to begin with.
