Battery Not getting charge after using jumper cables

Asked by Jun 08, 2018 at 03:18 PM about the 2000 Mercedes-Benz S-Class

Question type: General

I had to use Jumper cables directly in the connector under the passenger
side. The battery was dead and remote wouldn't work, so I couldn't open the
trunk.

Anyway, I  have a new battery but the altenator is not charging the battery.

Thank you

You may need a new alternator. It could have been bad before the jump which would be why the battery was dead to begin with.

Check battery cables for corrosion and make sure they're tight.
