2000 mercedes c230 error code 5400 is showing.

I know she needs some kind of lubricate because of the way she sounds. I
cannot find the error code in my manual. She is a compressor c230.

I don't know what sound you hear but you should check all the lubricants. Oil, transmission fluid, power steering, differential, etc.
