How do I set the clock on a 2004 Mercedes E270

Asked by JSymonds Oct 28, 2013 at 04:57 PM about the 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The manual says go to settings and scroll down to Time/Date but when I do that, Time date does not appear as an option. I get Instrument Cluster, Lighting and Vehicle. Within instrument cluster or vehicle I still do not get Time/date options. I assume it is hidden in there somewhere but can anyone tell me exactly what to do please.

maybe you push the tripodometer...as I am quite sure that there is a "system time" that the running diagnostics needs to check for maintenance, etc.~ perhaps this is a sneakily way for you to access this...the MINI cooper has this bit of trickery...perhaps ole merc does too~

If your car has navigation, it will receive a time signal from GPS satellites. In that case then use the COMMAND settings to change the time zone. If you don't have navigation, then I think you'll find DATE/TIME in the instrument cluster menu.

The simple answer is a quick fix; Prepare to find the fuse 64 (it's in the fusebox on the left side in the engineroom). Ignition key out. At 11.59 : take the fuse 64 out - wait for 30 sec - put it back. VOILA; the clock adjust itself now to the right time! Regards Hermod Olsen
