My SRS light is on on my dash in my 1999 S70 why

The light i on but wont go off i don know what the problem is

The SRS light indicates a malfunction in the "Safety Restraint System". It may be indicating a airbag failure, but often will come on if seat or dash work is performed and ignition is turned on while something is unplugged. Volvo requires a scanner to read the malfuction code and to reset light.
