the engine is out of tune no doubt, not the trans, or when Decelerate ,off the gas maybe hand brakes hanging up
I had the exact same car and problem. I took it to my mechanic, they flushed everything and tuned the engine and I never had that problem again. I recommend taking it to a Volvo mechanic though.
i've had the transmission flushed but, it's not hesitating when you give it gas
