What could be causing my engine to rev slowly?

Asked by GuruRCTL5 Feb 07, 2020 at 03:01 PM about the 2006 Volvo V50

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have recently put in a new turbo, because the
turbine in the old one snapped. It seemed to work
all fine, but now I get a warning light saying i need
to get an anti skid service.
I got a car guy to check with his pc, and it seems to
be a faulty abs module, or just the wiring to it, im
going to check on that tomorrow. But, the real
problem is that my car has started to lose power
when it approaches 3000 rpms. It still has the
expected power, but only up to about 2500 rpms,
then it dabbles off a bit. Surely not entirely, and it
still produces some power, but goes really slowly
up in rpms above 2500 and up to 4000.
Could it be the abs module causing this? The new
rurbo? I swapped myself, perhaps I forgot a cable
of some sorts?
I have also had some trouble with my egr valve,
could it be the troublemaker?

I have a volvo v50 2006 1.6 diesel 5-speed manual
