98 GTI Speedometer and Tachometer stops working

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Speedo and tachometer cuts out, but the fuel gauge and cooling gauge works. What are the chances I need to replace the whole cluster. It has to be a wire loose, not sure how this one is designed, since I only lost half the cluster

Well there is a 97% chance that it is not a Vanagon. There is also a 98% chance you posted in the wrong forum. I say replace it with a Vanagon then post your questions in the forum.
