Anyone know where the VSS vehical speed sensor or transmission speed sensor is located on 1999 VW Cabrio automatic transmission 4 speed 2.01

I'm still trying 2 find the VSS. Vehical speed sensor or transmission speed
sensor on my 99 cabrio
Every u tube video has other cars & its different on each car & year

most speed sensors are attached to the whole wheel housing body. There should be a cable running fown behind your wheel hub housing that secures into the side behind the brake. This is the speed sensor. Trany sensor should either be on the side or top of the trany.

You should not have to strip the wheel hub this much jsut hte caliper and rotor but all relativly in the same spot.

There are two sensors on 99 cabrio input and output. The output is a 3 wire connector up against the middle of the fire wall it unscrews counter clockwise. The input is below the battery with two other sensors it has 2 wires. This is a hall effect sensor and many are bad out of the box. Oem best bet on both.
