i have a golf 4 gti 1.8t engine start good but i don't have accelaration

Check all the boost hoses from the turbo, to intercooler, to throttle body and verify good tight connection. if all is good, then take a look at the diverter valve, they are a common issue on these engine and will cause lack of boost to build up.
