EPC Light and Key FOB issues.

Ok...long story short. My Key Fob is not working. I have replaced the battery, but the key will not unlock or
lock the doors...when I use it to manually lock the doors it works...for all doors.

HOWEVER, I have found, If I LOCK ALL DOORS manually (putting the key in the drivers door and locking
them) the car WILL not start the next time I go to get in. ALL power is lost.

I then have to get out of the car, pop the hood and "move" the battery connectors.

Itll then start.

Well, on my way home today, the EPC light came on. The car seems to drive normally, all
lights/blickers/etc work. (I will check the break lights tonight). I stopped at the gas station, and when I
started the car, no EPC light this time.

Any idea if the key not being programmed (even tho it worked prior to replacing the battery) can cause all
of this?

Before replacing the battery I would take the cables off of the battery and clean them also clean the posts. Then tighten them down good.

as a guess i would say you have a fault with the crankshaft sensor if your epc light is coming on and car not starting at times

Sounds like the fob has come of out sink with the car
