I've not heard of the Autocom product...but I know the techs at VW shops use Vag-Com software on a portable pc. You can find the software and usb adapter here: http://store.ross-tech.com/shop/VCKII.html It costs a bit more, but it's the real deal...made for VW cars.

I must reiterate the importance of using the VAGCOM system...there will be actions besides diagnostics that you will need to do to maintain your Volkswagen. If a vendor has to troll his products on this site, you must be suspicious that its less than optimal. If it were great, folks would already be talking about using it.

I guess my point has been made. Anybody out there actually using this product?
