Car jerking

Asked by AllanMud Jun 04, 2019 at 04:34 AM about the 2006 Volkswagen Jetta

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car is jerking when i accelerate. What might be the issue

1 Answer

Could be electrical or fuel related. Misfiring spark plugs cause a lag that feels jerky. A lack of proper fuel pressure from a faulty fuel pump or component can do the same. Might be a defect in the Throttle Position Sensor, a dirty Mass Airflow Sensor. Might be dirty fuel injectors. You need to have a mechanic diagnose this then fix it.
