On initial acceleration motor cuts out.

Once you get past (initial acceleration) where engine hesitates then it runs great and when the transmission shifts about 1600 to 1800 RPMS it hesitates consistently above the 1800 RPMS and below 1600 RPMS car runs fine.

get your diagnostic codes read, but am going to go ahead and say your TPS (thottle position sensor) has seen many miles, it is for this, the only interface between computer and human that the human wins....at least if the computer hasn't put him in the ditch~....please report back with your diagnostic trouble codes...available everywhere from all parts stores...heck will probably sell you the reader for twenty bucks~

some designers call this input device the accellerator sensor, some call it a throttle position sensor which is near the throttle but actuated by a human foot somehow...all these things are obvious if you're seeing a pattern here....where man meets machine~
Post your codes, since several things can cause the lugging/hesitation youre experiencing.
