Radiator trouble with car?

Asked by Cooky May 10, 2013 at 05:21 PM about the 2006 Nissan Xterra

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have purchased a 2006 Xtera offroad vehicle (auto transimition) with 63K miles.  I heard from a friend that this car and the 2007 have problems with the radiator fluid leaking in to the transmission.  Is this the case?  If so, what would you recommend?

I would keep a eye on the transmission fluid level and condition. I would also find a Nissan forum and ask other owners. If it does leak, it would be in the radiator. Maybe it's a known problem with the radiator or maybe it's a rumor started by a few that have had radiator failures.
