What would drain a battery over night?

Asked by Jun 27, 2018 at 06:45 PM about the 2006 Mitsubishi Galant

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 06 galant wouldn’t start I took battery
to be tested it only had 11% so they
charged it then tested it it was good. I put
the battery back in it started I let the car sit
the next morning the battery was dead
again but nothing was left on. Could a bad
alternator drain the battery if the car isn’t
running or could it be a electrical short?
