1991 Miata_Alarm or something like?

My 1991 Miata was towed because the alarm was on for over 20 minutes. I've
had this car for over 8 years...it doesn't have an alarm.  Is there some other
explanation?

Look under the hood for a alarm speaker which should be obvious.
