I am looking at a 2006 Mazda Tribute.  Have there been a lot of transmission problems with this car.

I work in a parts store-- havent heard much on these YET--- but still a newer vehicle--- sooo but as far as mazdas go-- they have been a decent vehicle all around-- in fact the pontiac vibe is bascially a mazda-- but further than that?? not sure-- then again it might be new enough that if any trannys sh*t out that only dealers have seen them under warrantys?

Mazda Tribute is made on the same platform as the Ford Escape, and ford has many problems but im not sure about transmission, theyre good upto 200 k's

I have a 2006 tribute. I replaced the transmission 5 yrs. ago. Now it runs fine if it's warm, but if I try to drive cold it jumps in to hear hard. Looks like more repairs. Unless u know for sure the transmission has been replaced don't buy it.
