Recently had an oil change w/ filter done by Mavis. Week later car shows 1/2 qt. low and car won't start. can this be related?

Gary's right. And that engine takes six quarts and those oil change places put in only five no matter what. If the engine cranks over, it means it did not seize up from lack of oil. But if it will not fire up, that's something else.
