Question type: General

I replaced the transmission filter &
fluid but only change from 1st to
2nd gear a couple times.  I let it
run for about an 1hour. What can I
do next. It's a 1984 gmc Sierra
classic 1500 v8

So you have it filled with trans fluid? Why did you run it an hour? Park on a level surface. Start the truck, let it warm up to operating temperature in park. Shift into all gears, R, 1, 2,3, 4 and back again slowly. Back into park, with engine still on, pull the transmission dipstick, wipe and reinsert, is it in the cross hatch area? Then your good to go. Too low, add a little at time, you don't want to overfill.
