2006 GMC Sierra 1500 4wd - Binding during turn after front end repair
After a failed alignment, I changed all parts Belle tire told me to (neighbor did the work) plus a few more:
-Inner\outer tie rods both sides
Immediately after the new parts were installed I noticed during a turn the front end was "binding" or "fighting the turn". I thought maybe I was in 4 wheel, checked and I wasn't. I even put in 4 wheel, and it was worse of course. But essentially that was sort of the feel. When I took a corner, instead of making the turn easily, I Slid forward instead of going around...
I thought the alignment would fix the problem. It didn't . I have had several people look at all the front end parts, everything looks good.
My only other possibility is wrong parts installed (but front end alignment shouldn't have worked), or maybe cheap parts (pitman or idler arm).
One shops suggested the cheap pitman arm is probably to blame, I should have bought a moog..
