How do I fix error code C1217? I have a 1996 Ford E-250 Econoline, 4.9L

C1217 OBD2 specifically refers to the camshaft (cam) timing. In this case, if the cam timing is over-retarded, the engine light will be illluminated and the code will be set

I came up with DTC C1217 Brake Control Relay Coil Circuit Short to Ground and C1217 - ABS Inlet Valve Coil RF Circuit Short To Ground. Are you noticing problems with the engine or the brakes?
