My 1999 Ford Econoline with the 4.2 litre will turnover slowly but wont start. Then when I turn the ignition switch to the off position it acts as if it's trying to start by itself.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Van starts when you put jumper cables on and will even start fine for a few days without a jump. When van sits for a few days and then I try to start it turns over slowly and the selenoid will click. Right after I turn the key off the solenoid will start clicking and it acts like its trying to start with the key in the off position.
