Lost the keys. I was told if I pulled steering
column and ECM from the vehicle that I
would not have to reprogram it

Sorry let me clarify that pull the ECM and the steering column from a wrecked vehicle put it in my truck would I still have to have it flashed

Don't do that! It will be easier and cheaper in the long run to let your local Ford Dealer program new keys for you!! On a Ford Product you need two working keys to program additional keys yourself. Since you have none, the Ford Dealer is the way to go. Doing what you described is asking for trouble and unnecessary expense! Hope that helps! Jim

Thank you. I didn't think it would work. What I understand is that the ECM and anti theft goes off the VIN. and would not allow it to work anyway.
