battery alternator or what

ok i am try to figure out why everyrime i turn my truck off after jumping it, does it make a clicking sound an wont start? i changed out the alternator and the battery but every time i turn it off when i try to turn it over the clicking noise starts. can anyone tell me what i am doing worng

I would check all connections. Pay special attention to the negative(ground) connections to the frame and motor.
