Where is the shift solenoid located in a FORD Taurus 2006. IS it in the transmission oil pan or IS it located on the side of the transmission panel
Code coming out IS P1715 it is SUPPOSE to be shift solenoid, AND echacnic
said it was located in the transmission oil pan, than said it 8s ON the side of
transmission under some panel. Which is correct
you would have to drop the pan to access the solenoid
BTW, if you can still drive the car, take it to a dedicated transmission shop. Most mechanics/shops don't have the tools to diagnose a transmission problem.
Yes could you tell me where the shift solenoid is located on a 2000 Ford Ford Taurus automatic
That should’ve been on a 2004 Ford Taurus shift solenoid location thank you
It's internal to the transmission, located behind the valve body. Most places would check the circuit first to make sure that wasn't the problem before pulling a transmission pan to check the solenoid, or let a tranny shop run a computer diagnostic on it to locate which component isn't working. If a solenoid is dirty and sticking a flush and fluid change may be in order.
