i have a 1994 dodge ram slt 5.2 ltr 4x4 w/ 5 speed what transmission do i have?

i need to know what tranny i have `cause there are several differant fluids to use. the only number i can find is on the left side of the tranny 18200. is there something i am missing?

straight gear transmisions do not use trans.fluid,they use a 90 weight gear oil,check with your local dealor on this.

Your dealership will be able to tell you exactly which trans. it is by reading your VIN number. They can do this over the phone with your VIN. I did this all the time as a service advisor.

it should be the 46RE. but it will take ATF+4 fluid regardless

as long as you meant 5 speed auto, if its manual thats a different story
