02 sensors

After a engine rebuilt. Always blown my upstream
02 sensor. Even after a factory sensors. Both put in
at same time. Any ideas why the upstream blows
only.

have you checked the wiring all the way to the ECM. Make sure the wires aren't pinched between the engine and tranny...common problem in these beasts when the engine n tranny are separated and rejoined.

  • hello,im just having a hard time passing smog, replace all 4 sensors, i ve got 02 sensor wiring malfuction 1 Answer

    also replaced the purge valve on the emissions canister and vaccum hoses going to the plenum,so i ve clear the codes on the purge valve and the 02 sensors behind the catalyst converter but not bank 1...

    Replaced 2 (Denso) O2 sensors with 2 (Bosch) sensors and the scanner still reads P0052 Bank 2 sensor 1 Heater High and P0058 Bank 2 Sensor 2 Heater High.
