Will a 2001 dodge ram 1500 front end. Swap
with a 1997 dodge ram 1500 front end

Check on wikipedia for dodge Ram Pickup - both are 2nd generation but there was a major style change in 1998 for the front end. How drastic a change? Only way to really know is break out a tape measure and start comparing, especially mounting points. You could also check with parts desk manager at a Dodge dealership.

The other part of the question would be is the vehicle a 4wd? If so, what is the gear ratio of the present ('97) front end and the gear ratio of the '01 front end? /Martin
