Ram 1500 auto to standard conversion

I buaght a 98 ram 1500 and the guy swapped the
tranny to standard it seems like I drop a couple
cylinders when I’m accelerating hard shifting it is a
noticeable drop and it idles up on it’s own never
used to but now it started I just want it to run good
it’s a serious loss of power any help would be
appreciated

When the previous owner converted trannys, did he have the ECM reprogrammed for a manual tranny?
