98 Dodge Ram 1500 Code P1757 & Overheating

Asked by GuruC3R9X Mar 24, 2020 at 12:52 AM about the 1998 Dodge RAM 1500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9 was having delayed
shifts after the engine heated fully. Ran the DTC
and got code P1757. Had the Governor Pressure
Solenoid and Sensor replaced. Ran fine for a few
days. Now same problems and code. Noticed a
possible leak in the trans coolant today. And trans
overheating warning light showed up today. I was
wondering if the trans overheating could be
causing the Governor Pressure Malf Code to show

Just to note: Trans was rebuilt 3 months ago.
Governor Pressure Kit replaced about a week ago.
Also showing codes for misfire in cylinder 5,
catalytic converter and o2 sensor.
