Knocking sound

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Replaced the motor in Dodge ram 1500. Sounded
great stop at a gas station it died. Started it back
up making a knocking sound. Maybe out of time?

May be the timing, but also check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge to be sure it is good. There should be a knock sensor on there that would set a code also.
