Why did my dodge ram 1500 cut out on me while driving?

Asked by Rebekah Apr 13, 2020 at 06:30 PM about the 2000 Dodge RAM 1500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Why did my truck cut out. Sounded like
metal bangs in the engine. It still has all the
fluids. At the same time I had a really bad
noise comin from my vents .

It's most likely that the timing chain/belt broke. You need to take it to a mechanic and this will be very costly. I'm seeing a new truck in your future... Sorry.
