Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Driving home this morning and my 01
dodge ram 1500 just completely died on
me. Will turn over but will not start. Seems
to be getting plenty of fuel and I can hear
the fuel pump turn on  so could really use
some help because my truck is sitting in a
store parking lot.  Also no code is coming
up. Please help.

Have the battery tested first, if that isn't the problem...try spraying starter fluid down the throttle body while someone cranks the engine over. If no signs of life, then try replacing the ignition coil. Usually when "sudden death" happens like this and no codes occur it wreaks of a blown fuse or some other electrical fault. It's also possible that the crank position sensor failed or came unplugged or just a dirty connector. What were the conditions just before failure???
