2001 dodge ram doesn't have reverse or neutral, it's constantly in drive or park

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

so earlier today on my way to work I took a turn a bit to soon drove over a
big curve and side swiped a metal pole, it was running fine and I managed to
make it to work, but when I tried to put it in park it would go into reverse,
switched it to reverse and it went into neutral, it wasn't until I turned off the
engine that it went back to normal, but when I went to turn it back on the
engine wouldn't even try to kick on pretty much how it would when it's not in
park. it wasn't until I fiddled with the stick for 5 minutes that the engine finally
kicked on but now when I go into reverse it goes into drive, and when I go
into neutral it also goes into drive, there's times that it won't do anything at all
until I've fiddled with the stick enough, anybody got any clues what I could of
damaged by jumping a curb that's causing it to do this?
