are you getting fluid at the wheels?? if so then you need to have the ABS unit bleed ...// you will need a scan tool to do so ....//it will actuate the dump valves to remove the air from it ...if you are not getting fluid at the wheels then the master cylinder needs to be bleed some more....once you do that try bottle bleeding the wheels see the pic ....by bleeding it this way you do not need to close the bleeder ...// instead of pulling in air it will pull in fluid helping to move the air out of the system

plus when you bleed the brakes you need to start from the farthest location from the master cylinder

I have a 2005 Dodge ram 1500 had the same problem. I replaced all 4 calipers roters and brake pads bleed all 4 calipers several times start engine and pedal would go to the floor. The proublem was the calipers will fit either side mine wasn't marked. I put the front calipers on the wrong side. The bleed port has got to be on top of the calipers facing up. If it's on the bottom fluid will just trap air in the top of the calipers. You can bleed till the cows come home and you will never get it out . I switch mine bleed the brakes 2 times each proublem solved.

I having same issue on 2002 ram 1500 4x4, replaced booster ,master and calipers..bleed it gets tight,start the truck and pedal goes all the way to the floor.

Thanks. Never would have figured out I had put the calipers wrong side with bleeder on the bottom. As soon as I swapped them I got a pedal almost immediately. Thanks again for saving me from embarrassment at the Dodge dealer!

Gcoburn. Im in the same boat. Ive been sitting in my driveway almost in tears trying to figure this out. Wasnt until i read your reply that i realized what i did. Lol

I did the same thing, lol. After I switched them had a pedal almost immediately.,guess I should have noticed the brake line twisted. In a hurry I guess! Thanks again! Very much appreciated!

A friend of mine did the same thing. Had the calipers on the wrong side. Luckily I found this thread or he would still be bleeding his brakes lol

I have an 02 ram 1500 2x4, with what seems to be like the front brakes locking up, when barely tapping the brake pedal. I replaced the master cylinder (and not the booster) , brakes and rotors one year over a year ago. I had no issues with it until now. Any help would be grateful.

I'm having the same problem but there was no repairs done to vehicle they just up n quit

Does your brake petal go all the way to the floor? And have you looked at the calipers to see if they are leaking

Yes and yes also opened up the bleeders no oil getting to the wheels. reservoir remains full think I'll go to my local u pull it n just replace or pick up another system all together n go from there till the problem solved might even turn my automatic to a standard n make it 4X4

Pump the brakes up hold pressure on the petal for a minute. If the petal goes down your brake booster is bad.

I have a 2000 Ram that I’ve done brakes rotors and calipers twice in 3 months note the brakes are grinding and gone once again. It’sa mechanic and a decent one that did the work. In the morning when the truck is still cold it almost takes two feet to get the truck to stop. Very stiff. Then as the day goes they soften up. I believe it’s part of the cause of the brakes going so fast

I have a 2005 dodge ram 3500 i had new brakes and rotters put on about a year ago and now once in a while the pedal seems to go soft so i pull up pedal with my foot and then it will brake abs light was on when i got the truck 1 half years ago now the brake light is blinking what could be a place to start
