I need help to fix an electrical problem for a 97 Town and Country?
While driving I had made a left turn and the car completely died; no power,
nothing. Moved the positive terminal on the battery, it started. I moved it, drove
it 20 miles, shut it off, started it; made another left turn. It did it again. Only this
time the positive terminal started melting to the battery and the black wire from
the fuse box started burning. Any suggestions?

You have a positive short, change the battery terminals, run new block to frame grounds too and change out the fuse and or fuse box panel if damaged. Change all wires that burned. Check all wiring to and from the alternator and all wiring for damage., look at all wires you can.

Somewhere there is positive hot wire to block or frame touching ground or negative and positive touching each other.

Hubby has done all that. Hmmm. He can't find the burnt wire. Its not near the starter or alternator and wires in fuse box don't appear to be burnt
