I have recently put a new fuel pump fuel filter on my 2000 Chrysler town and country lx. Yesterday I had the ignition coil replaced due to it dieing out when I would be pushing the brake to stop.

Today I go out to start it b/c its cold
and it won't stay running.So I push
gas pedal and turn it over...Major
backfire! Thought I was blowing up!
Now when it starts a light knocking
sound us present but goes away until
the gas pedal is pushed! HELP

When it back fired,it was flooded,and more than likely if you here a tap now,it may have bent a lifter or valve.
